What position you posing next round?
This is my mantra when choosing my CT positioning.
"If I was a T, what is the spot I would want the CT to be in"
Then choose the opposite.
I would deffo want the CT to peek from tirplebox and give me an easy prefire kill.
Triplebox is a pretty bad default spot to begin with for few reasons:
-Easily naded/mollied
-Once they know you are there you cant really fall back to anywhere
-you are forced to take duels vs AKs
-when they smoke/flash the site and rush in, you are easily overwhelmed
You can sometimes go triplebox, but it's not a good default spot.
Your spot as a CT in any site is determined by 2 factors.
#1 Where to they come from?
#2 Where do they smoke?
If they aren't smoking at all, you are free to choose your spot freely, in this case spots like:
stairs (Don't challenge heaven, just make sure they don't get into the site)
sandwich (Cheese spot)
under palace (You can either watch ramp or wait, my favorite spot and also my default spot)
ninja (You can watch into tetris or palace by positioning yourself by slightly)
Noob corner (cheese spot)
Ticket (No smokes = Easy plant denial erry time)
All these spots are situational, depending on the way the T's come in to the site. I would recommend under palace as your default spot.
There you can play into the CTs strenghts:
-You choose when to take your duels/peek out.
-They HAVE TO, come at you usually at an awkward angle.
-You can flash/molly yourself out of there
-If the other guy is playing stairs/jungle, it's super easy to crossfire.
Remember that you don't necessarily have to watch ramp/palace like a religion. It's enough that they T's don't get a plant. Keep that in mind as a CT.
So as long as you have the site under control, you're fine.
Triplebox holding usually means that you challenge ramp, end up in a 2v1 and die. Instead of doing that, just go to a safe spot, hide a bit, peek out when you feel like it, get a kill and retreat.
So choose your position on the fly, mix it up and keep changing. As long as you have safety, you'll be fine.
