I planned to get Thief too, I played Thief 2 when I was a kid, thought I still don't understand the story and gameplay back then its still so much fun.

You are totally right. As i said, i don't know why the critics were that kind of bad. It looks pretty decent.
Yep, wish they could try the game first and make it less subjective on giving ratings.

Best thing I'd recommend is watching gameplay videos first to get an idea before you by it.
