Quick question, do you think anime and cartoon is same? And why?

i consider anime as realism drawing but with less effort on the details, and cartoon with the 3d cartoons / drawn unrealistically , e.g. long neck, square head etc.

anime is more stylized with common character designs and facial structures, detailed backgrounds, and a plot. Also there are many genre of anime from children's anime to adult anime (hentai). Cartoons tend to be made to appeal to little kids by making the characters look deformed and having no point to the story.

Cartoons=anime, and the age argument is as floppy as your 20cm+ penis. There are cartoons for a more mature audience, just like there is anime for more age groups. Anime just has another style, but its still animated and it falls under the same category

I always saw anime as cartoons in Japan, that's about it for me lol.

I enjoy both a lot, stuff like Steven universe and regular show are great but that's not counting out stuff like attack on titan or soul eater!

Just try to enjoy them both
