relaxing the ankle can make you foot go faster,but sometimes it don't happens as you want,so do other control for the foot to make the boom.

boom punches generally are harder to do,use a grabby hand 1-2 frames before the hand hit(without grabbing),then,when the hand gets inside(don't grab any part) the uke part,ungrab(it will make looks smoother punch) and make it gets more space to hit.
