but really electrolytes are just the separated polar/nonpolar parts of salts when they dissolve in water, nothing special... they get there by you consuming them and them getting passed into your blood stream... also, the brain doesn't run on electrolytes, neuron transmissions are just smoother when the right amount of them are present in the neurons...
