So very close to 1400 elo. Got myself up to a 12-8 win/loss spread by jungling Lee Sin, Udyr, Fiddlesticks, and Nocturne. It's not hard to win a game when you can depend on yourself to help a losing lane, set back the enemy jungler, and secure/steal baron and dragon. Currently fluxuating near the 1370s.

I'm nervous to try out ranked, because being judged for how good I am kinda sounds annoying.

Duo queue your first few games with a reliable friend until you hit the cap. From then on, you can solo queue theoretically, but you're probably going to lose a lot with the idiots you get paired with in the sub 1400 rating. Also, make sure you can play at least 3 champions for each role effectively.
