Cheats can be fun, but I havn't used them in around 5-10 years... I think I last used them in Warcraft 3.
If I cannot pass a part of a game I will use a walk through, otherwise it is just waiting and getting angry.
For example my Portal 2 is glitched, Wheatley does not enter the room at the start, and does not talk. If I had not used a walk through I would think that I am supposed to solve a puzzle to get out. But really he is supposed to just walk in...

I only cheat when i beat the game or when i can't pass a hard part.

I use cheats when the game is over. I use it for fun. like if I beat the Tony Hawk games I would go fuck shit up with moon gravity and perfect balance.
I really try hard not to use walkthroughs. Sometimes a part will wear on my nerves too much though.
