Also, I play an SG, and it is hella awesome to play.
SG's don't suck, i just can't see the motivation behing buying one in place of a LP/Strat, which you can pick up for the same price.
As for great guitarists, who even cares? The greatest technical guitarist my not be the most creative and interesting player. I vote for no one. or both, or whatever.
