What I don't get is the massive difference in quality of the hood compared to that of the face and hair. Why stop when it could be so much better?

What was your reference by the way?

I just do not know what to paint on the hood, that's all. I learned to draw faces before, in contrast to the hood, using the tutorials on drawing eyes / lips, etc. Hair done with tutorial, too. Do not have source, just used the photos of the arabs.
