i really, really don't see the point. i even feel that iphone is borderlining on trying too hard.

I would say that the product is probably more suited to workers that travel a lot. Maybe a journalist or an accupation to do with a lot of financial managing.
If you look at it in this sence, it's quite a good product.
It's not as bulky as a laptop, yet it's more advanced than an iPhone or iPod touch. People can just whip it out to quickly look something up or type a piece of work up.

Yeah, considering it is apple and they are supposedly the best at making hardware for that shit (spare me the arguments, its not necessarily my opinion). When I first heard about this it was "apple is making a tablet and it will be pretty cheap" and I was fucking cheesed. But the more I hear about it, the less I care. If it cant even use a damn stylus, then it can go to hell as far as I am concerned :/

Just as a point on bitchin strong technology, I got my cell phone like 3 1/2 years ago for 50 bucks, and it was used. I drop the thing at least once a week, and every time I think it is finally gone, its just the battery. The crazy thing is that it is made by NEC, who I didnt even know made phones, I just knew them as a previously relevant PC company. Thing is a fucking beast.
EDIT: Protip: Anything marketed as "magical and revolutionary" is guaranteed to be a giant log of disappointment and crap.
