Eh.. lost to another smurf. I'm a really heavy macro zerg, and lose quite a lot to 1 base pressure attacks.

Is there a way I can defend these attacks while still having good macro?
For some reason, I can't macro mid to late game if I didn't macro well early game.

well, at first you should scout what your opponent is doing, send a sacrificial overlord to his base at around 5.00-6.30 and then react - get queens/lair/spines/roaches/whatever
