Apparently this is a very common phenomena. I went to a class in junior high that dabbled in college level science. Everybody there was really smart except we were basically a bunch of idiots who don't know how to tie our shoes. It was quite bizzare.

i can get into the top 10 of my batch without giving a shit
but i don't know how to tie my shoes or cook
