I know some guys from CW that like chess. But, I think, that this is equally depending on: who's good in stated game mods.
If u have good chess tactic but u have weak team u can't win on tactic alone.

so due to our own lack of skills we wont be able to compete... =P

Since you need players to fought on the board. Chess Master move the figurines, but when figurines collide on the same spot, then they turn into fighters and fight in Toribash. I thought this was enough simple that even 3 year child can understand.

To me, normal chess only tells me one word. Boring.
To me, battle chess tells me many words. Awesome.
It sounds fun though.
