From my limited experience in geography (1 year plox)
I believe that populations slowly increase at a steady rate, exponetally increase, then either level or crash.
(crash in this instance)
The human population looks like its starting to decrease, as those in well developed countries have fewer childern later.
(people have children later, as the focus on work and that, they then have fewer childern or even none as unlike undeveloped countries there is a low child mortality rate, so not much need to ave many children so that your genes will surivive.)
I guess what shall determine wheter we crash or level, is if we get to this stabililty of having all countries developed, before we reach the point where we have to compete for food (like life or death stuff).
I also presume that governments of the world have noticed these predictions and policys like one child policy in china might become more frequent.
