Clannad. There are only animes that can come close to it, but I haven't seen one that could exceed it.

Toradora is fun but it's unfinished, also totally different type.

Clannad - Great for what DarkeVipr is looking for, since the first season is comedic.

After Story, it's the emotional/sad type, so the second season isn't the target series.

If we're not in the boundaries of just Clannad and Toradora, a funny anime would be Seitokai Yakuindomo. It's epicsauce. :P

After Story is the one I haven't watched yet. I'll get my tissues ready just in case.
