Well, as I've already told in IRC, I have no freaking idea what they have done but it doesn't see some config files from system32 folder. Trying to reinstall Windows using setup disc didn't have any effect, same with linux. BIOS hard disc test showed that I have to "replace hard disc", heh.

Davidovsky: your twin is less likely to destory anything like this, but these 8 and 5-year old guys will leave me gadgetless soon

Yep

Well, it's quite a common issue with hp dv6700 laptops, I just don't remember how we fixed it last time. So I hope it won't be a big trouble.
