Honestly, the animations on the fight scenes were not that bad, but I've seen better ones imo.
I prefer fights that go more in depth and technical. Instead of just forcing your sword when your strike is parried, you follow it up with some thing else; a bite, kick, ass grab, etc.

There is nothing wrong with the animation, on the contrary the animation is fantastic for both SAO and DanMachi, however, that and the concept are honestly the only appeal I see in both series...
