I feel like its fine. If they want to be 10th dan let them. They'll just get destroyed anyway. Most of them are probably doing it just so they can get cooler colors sooner. I'd rather buy TC than QI but I don't see it being a problem.

I know how hard i fought for my qi, nobody can take that from me. so i dont really care a whole lot. i just feel that (if its about making more money with TB) they could have just dropped the qi restrictions, maybe made some items more expensive. everybody who wants to spend a load of green paper on fancy colours, textures etc. could do that and the truly experienced would still have their bragging rights...
