This pretty much sums up my opinion too.

Well,for me being a gamer is someone that enjoys playing a variety of games,Not only to finish them,to enjoy them as well.Someone that plays a game only to kill some time is only a dork that doesnt know what a real game is.And one thing about the fps games...most of them sux,but still there are other pretty good fps like Vanquish for example.Playing fps only to grow in rank,lvl and these kinds of things and shout noob when you kill someone is something way too stupid and childish.At least thats my opinion.I play fps too but I dont act like a noob when I get killed or something like that like most of the ppl and I dont play only to lvl up or to get my rank up...I play only for pleasure.

So,in other words,my definition of ДДgamerДД is someone that plays games only for pleasure.Any other noob that wants only to lvl up or get the best rank is nothing for me.

I agree, if you only play a single genre i wouldnt call you a gamer, but a person that plays a game. Also i find a true gamer would also get into other aspects of his favorite game or a game with these aspects, like modding or a forum.

A gamer is someone who plays video games, but only play, he is in love with that feeling, I don't think of me as a gamer, but I love playing games... But a gamer JUST PLAY.

1. buy a game that you know wont do well just to help keep the company who made it around because they arent a big time company

2. if you bought a game that looks like it could be good even if youve never heard of it, instead of a call of duty or halo

I think there is a HUGE difference between a Gamer and a person who just plays games for the hell of it.

A Gamer has more merits to earn in game, such as constantly trying to out do yourself

Someone how just plays the game, just plays the game.

A Gamer either just plays to kick some serious ass as opposed to doing random shit or to enter tournaments.

A gamer is a person who can accelerate in any game no matter what it is extremely fast.

Someone who just plays the game, is unable to grasp diffrent controls through out games as fast as gamers do.

Gamers get used to the different physics through out each game such as Halo and MW. Both FPS, but very different physics which equals very different gameplay.

Also a person who just plays one genre is more of a gamer than you would ever know. Check out a quarter of the Quake fans. Half of the quarter probably play only Quake considering how god damn fast, accurate, smart, fast, and accurate they are with any gun in the game.
Those people are just about the most hardcore gamers I've seen in a long time until MW cameout than the HCore gamers turned kinda gay.
