Play Kali, He Bo, Freya or Chronos if they are not banned. I have a 70% win ratio with Kali I believe (20 games with her total, won 14 lost 6). Loki is also a very good pick if played right. I do not recommend most hunters for a 1v1 situation due to the fact you need to survive until late game to be able to defend yourself. Rama, Anhur, and Cupid work well in 1v1 I think.

I did pick loki one time yesterday and rolled another 10 mastery loki. He got the first 2 kills on me but he was building generic and wasn't doing any camps. In the end I was 4 levels ahead and there was no coming back for him.
