and what it says, it's basically skyrocketing downwards in popularity. Do you guys think minecraft will still remain popular this school year or is it going to die out?

Minecraft wont die out.
Huge moddingscene and still a huge community.
Still lots of players etcetc, but ofcourse, it's not the revolutionary game it once was.

Minecraft is still receiving a large amount of new players, it's just not at the pace of what it once was, which will be the case of every single game out there.

I seriously doubt minecraft will die out any time soon, if at all. Just like jellyninja mentioned, considering it's still under development as well as having an extremely huge modding community, with mod packs coming out at an incredibly huge pace, as well as having constant videos by great youtubers, saying it will die out is a complete long-shot.

Yeah , minecraft won't die out. It just looks like nobody talk about it anymore .

Yeah. But if you look at the ranks, early this year it was the hottest ever. So I'm a bit worried about little playerbase if I get involved in servers and stuff.

It is insane how much this game blew up since 2009, wow.

I still do, but mostly single player.

Same here, more due to the fact that the people I play with have different times off then I do and that I don't want to play on a huge server.

I just don't like servers much, I hardly ever manage to do stuff manually, everyone just buys/sells and makes things easier, in survival SP, it's all you, and that's what's fun.
