DF is a come and go game, you play it, get strong as a mother fucker, and accidentily flood your shit, or you get murdered by clowns.

Just started to play again.

its quite difficult. i downloaded it and tried to start with captndunks tutorials. but i still dont understand everything. does anyone have a non video tutorial where i can read what i have to do after i set a place for my fortress and stuff? dont like video tutorials that much.

I flooded my fortress only twice in the beggining and it was when I started learning after that I havent lost by any attacks of anything I have been watching a lot of streams and df on youtube learning many strategies and stuff then I was addicted to it the whole summer till one and a half week ago
I havent lost by any phenomeno or anything else only by some damn undead on an evil are two times.

Most times I found myself abondon my fortress by no attacks at all or to much overpower for those attacks and it was kinda boring at the end. xP

Finding new way to master my dwarf military I was able to easly kill and beast that came into my fortress.I remember 2 weeks ago on a fortress I still got saved I was testing the draw bridge "atom smash" I even tried it on my dwarfs I had an idea of smashing all of my dwarfs.I smashed most of them there were like 20 out of 100 dwarfs left plus my team of 2 master crossbowmen and then I got attacked by a big army of elfs they killed many dwarfs and I was left with 5 dwarfs.I managed to save my fortress from those damn elfs with only the one crossbow man who was a master(later on he died from a tatrum dwarf that had a strange mood)

I can't say it was an easy save of the fortress but I managed to survive and now it's still alive

Anyway now I got a small break from Dwarf Fortress and I'm planning comming back to it in the future

I started playing again, and I had no idea what the fuck to do. Oh well, time to go play Majesty I guess.

Started playing DF (again) and after massive goblin attacks and undead charges my fortress was filled with them and had only one vampire dwarf sleeping for like 4 months surrounded by ghosts and undead.

Did you know that ghosts can enter your dwarfs and play with their mind or it is
something like that idk

It was a pretty awesome fortress I survived the first charge of the undead which was 120 units.Half of them got killed by the goblin ambush which came a minute later but in the end they got killed by the mighty undead.Then all my marksdwarfs dealt with em.



Gonna spend some time updating the first post and im going to revive this thread,if there are still people playing it'll be nice to hear u : )
I'm sure some of you are waiting for next release but meh
