I think Mass effect 3 will kind of introduce you to the reaper's home galaxy or star system or something like that.

What i find odd is that the reapers were supposed to be in deep sleep, because you apparently stopped Saren from opening the relay in the citadel and waking them up. Sovereign was a single reaper who looked over the galaxy while the fleet slept...
Yet they somehow not only woke up, but know about Shepard and all relevant events (hence abduction of colonies, etc)

yeah i beat it with a vanguard the 1st time i played it no im a infiltrator incinerate is pretty fun to play with
