You should make the brush strokes have SHARP edges inside of the rounded ones you're using

you should make them darker around the edges of the stroke and lighter on the inside of the stoke

this would create a cool glow scar effect that would really make this tops

i really like the simplistic style of this set
i dont know why but the sets that dont have much going on seem to look the best.
