There is an easier way to save directly to .png format in POV-Ray.

Put this command into the command line box: [b]output_file_name=<insert name here>.png[b]

Voila!

There we go, your image is now in .png format!

I'd also suggest using various .inc files. In case you don't know how to do that when you open the file you will se in quotes at the top "<includename>.inc". Just change that. Refer to the free .inc collection for some various ones.

were exactly is the free.inc? is it a site or on pov itself?
