Contracted wrists in the start of a match has both pros and cons.
Pros:
> More control
> Potential to disable the elbow
> potential to avoid grab
Cons:
> It can be construde as annoying, due to it being able to disable the elbows
> Wrists are more likely to be dm'd
So it just depends on your play style.
As with a lot of aikido moves, it can be annoying, but meh. Whatcha gonna do?
