My laptop has an ATi graphic card. I'm quite happy with it, but I would still prefer an nVidia. Mainly because they have less problems with videogames.
are you joking?
left 4 dead had massive problems with nvidia, as did crysis.
nVidia has less problems across the board, especially in OpenGL. nVidia also has CUDA, the new version of PhysX. I don't know of any advantages that ATI has. :X
I've been using nVidia cards all my life. Never had a problem and they have served me well. Also I've heard so many horror stories about ATI drivers that I'm afraid of switching.
i have a totally post modern tattoo of a scalene triangle.

<DeadorK> if the cum is going to be in your mouth
<DeadorK> it shall be in mine as well
the GTX295 from galaxy(nivida based) is a GTX 260 and a GTX 280 in one card and it 1.7gb vid memory but needs a 600W pcu to run it
i saw it on a vid on metacafe u can search it
nVIDIA, ATI may have dx10, nVidia has nVIDIA Physx, nVIDIA 3d and that kind of stuff. nVIDIA cards also have less problems with video games in general. (like The Saboteur not working on ATI cards etc.)
You mean Dx11.
I'm playing Saboteur on an ATI card (ATI Radeon Mobility HD2600). You can't blame the GPU brand for the developers of the game not making a stable game to be run under the major graphics cards without a patch. Thats the developers business.
Plus proprietary physics processor such as PhysX sucks for us, consumers. We need something without royalties attached so we can enjoy it on all cards without the prices going into speculation. Thats one reason why you shouldn't be happy about PhysX, unless you like to invest a large part of your money into overpriced gimmick monopolistic technologies that will never benefit the consumers on a large scale.

and yeah, it feels like a lot of the posts are incredibly biased. I think we can all agree that until nvidia releases it's next batch of cards, ati has and has had the market. The dx11 cards from ati seem pretty powerful to me, and that's what I think their adv right now. That and price.
