As for the processor, You can actually save money buying the amd x6 2.8 gHz processor. As for the GPU, I would upgrade to the Radeon 5850

you dont need an x6 amd for gaming. you can save even more money by going with an x4 965 and end up with the same performance.

I'm simply saying that for the price, the 6 core is amazing. Just thinking ahead for future games.

Current games just about use two cores, by the time they can fully use 6, we will have moved on from AM3 all together.

this is the best way to sum up 6 core cpu's lol.

quad cores are where it's at for gaming when you want to multitask as well because there are virtually no performance drops with them like tri cores and hex cores.

a hex core would be awesome for running several virtual machines though
