What looks like random flailing could perhaps be a crude form of American Kenpo...

But it's probably just random flailing.

Has anyone here ever gotten into a similar situation before?

Hmm. Ninjas in disguise? They're everywhere. Anyways, karate is a great way of fighting, although it seems, well, different when in a stance.

You know, the leader of Fyre.
To say that any one martial art is better than another wouldn't be right.

Each martial art has it's own philosophy/technique/style and some would probably be more effective than others in certain circumstances, and others in another.

But better?

As for the stances.

Again this is dependent on the individual martial art, and each martial art will probably have a few stances. Depending on the style, the stance could lend balance, power, techinque, etc, etc.

For example the stance in the first video give a very strong front-to-back balance, but on the other hand reduces his manouverability to the point that he can't move without doing funny hops.
