I mean, Bring Me The Horizon are terrible, but why is that your reason for disliking them?

I don't dislike them, I said I pretty think they're okay.
Just that, when most people think of metal, first thing that comes to mind is BMTH.
Example 1: 'Oh I like metal' 'Oh you mean bmth'
Which is kinda annoying.

I've never heard that in my whole life, and a lot of people who have a decent taste in sub-genres of metal don't like BMTH. So people who don't know much about metal would assume you like Iron Maiden, Slipknot and bands like that, or they'll (most likely) think you like some rock band, because they think metal and rock is the same.

Bring Me the Horizon has annoying riffs and vocals with lame breakdowns.
