Patience and you need to like drawing it. You need to put small part of your soul in each text. Like you draw it each time for yourself.. Or you will have crap as result.. Thats why most texts for sale are pure crap, fastwork, fast tc's.

Well, The most used programs are Gimp and photoshop, I wouldn't suggest using paint lol.. But If you click Unibash up at the top, many well known players have classes that go over texture making, shading, rendering etc..good luck!
