From what I hear from my close friend that has norton, it really isn't good. I have Eset Nod32 and I am quite happy with it. But thats the only one I has so far, so I woulden't know if any other is better than Nod.

I got that too. Don't trust it, it just doesn't like it becuase not many people use it. It doesn't like it becuase of it can write files.... just ignore everything under "Norton Insight"

pretty much every experience ive had with virus protection has been bad
it can pretty much brick your computer if its not that fast, people who dont have very fast ones like my mom for example, she cant even browse the Internet fast anymore because of the virus protection she has.

myself, i hardly ever use one i just try not to browse shady looking sites

What I want to know is how does Norton not detect Avast as a virus? Norton has a massive shitfest if you have any other anti virus program on your computer, so why isn't it doing that this time?

I scanned my TB folder 10 times today with ESET Nod32 (I think its the best)

Norton tells shit
It tell toribash.exe has virus

Well, toribash.exe could have a virus if it was infected.
But then again, some antiviruses are too paranoid.

Norton sucks.

I use 3 antiviruses:
1. AVG: no virus on toribash
2. Kapersky: no virus on toribash
And
3. NORTON: no virus on toribash

Not saying that all you guys are wrong but, that thing I wrote is true

I hate norton due to several things

1.it is incorrect

2.you need to pay for it

3.even if you pay for it there are ads whenever you go on the internet

Conclusion: Remove norton.

You can trust it, but spy sweeper is better in my opinion.
