That's why there's a little space between you and the ball.
Get running, work up some momentum, and you'll be able to kick the ball better.
Or, if you're really good at Toribashian soccer, it gives you space to start a run so that you can then dribble the ball to the goal.

Haha i just found out, that if either of the balls touches the other one, they both FLY back into a goal, pretty awesome, especially when one decaps your guy and scores on him.......
