a lot of my friends have 360s, but a lot also have PS3s, not just for gaming but for use as bluray players. (we have 2 for 2 tvs)
For those about to turn this into a 360vsPS3 thread; neither is better than the other, both are good. The only reason to get one over the other is that your friends mainly have one type.
Eg my friends mostly game on 360s, so I got one so we can LAN.

i say the ps3 is a better deal but if youre a hardcore online multiplayer person, id get the 360 (ive got the black elite) because the community is much larger
