man i've been listening to metal since middleschool and it's always been a dream of mine to figure out how to do harshvocals so i can sing-along to my favorite tracks, slowly but surely i'm starting to get there.
I truly appreciate the kind words
as for tips KEYWORD: Diaphragm. Use it wisely and support your vocals with every word.
also i'd say start out slow, learn some basics about what it is to "scream" and what your body is supposed to do when producing this sound.
you will be sore for starters even if you use the correct technique since your body will not be used to this sort of ordeal.
but i'd recommend that you look up this discord right here if you want to learn: https://discordapp.com/invite/dnNJAUR
learning the fry scream is by far the easiest and safest route to begin with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rBOJX0v7SY

also THIS is pretty much all you need to know how to get started: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dsw0rzp70b...ndium.rar?dl=0
and what the hell was this hellish scream lul https://clyp.it/0vjgwpgs
Your screams are not bad, however, I'd try to lower your vocals in the mix as they're REALLY overpowering. Also, try to lower the reverb as well as it threw off the whole "vibe" of the song I guess is how I'd put it.
Would you by chance be willing to work together on something sometime? I'm a guitarist/fry screamer/halfway producer myself.
Yeah i need to get better at mixing for sure, i did give another go if you'd care to take another listen https://clyp.it/t5xxa4qe
and yeah i'd be down to do some stuff for sure!
thing is i'm pretty sick right now though so it'll have to wait abit.

I completely forgot to make a response to this..
Mix was better, but still try to lower your vocals a bit more. It's pretty hard to do without monitors, but the way I found worked for me when I did my mixing without "proper" studio gear is just to hop back and forth between different sound systems. Like your car speakers, PC speakers, etc. I'm also pretty jealous of the highs.. My screams are focused mainly in the mid to low range so I can always appreciate a good mid-high scream.
Vocals were pretty good, but I noticed the timing was a tad bit off. Your sustain was pretty good so hell yeah man. Overall I guess just timing was my main gripe. Other than that it was pretty dope.
Also, I'd still like to do a cover or something together if you're still down man!
I'm not a metal guy or anything but since it's Swexx I decided to give it a listen and man I was kinda impressed, keep up the good work buddy.
