they need to have space on both sides by 1 terraria block and it has to have normal grass and be rid of weeds, also day light needs to be able to shine on it, my tip would be is to stick it in dirts blocks after they got grass and de weed it everyday

Anyone know what this is, my guess it demonic alter that inflicts a lot of damage when you walk into it, well the hurting part I figured out :S
Also all hail the GUN! Tip if you dont already know, when buying things hold the right mouse button down to make it a lot fast, I bought 125 bullets in 3 seconds like this :S

It's a demon alter, it only hurts if you hit it with a hammer to try to take it. It will deal half your health then. If you destroy the tiles under it, it will disappear. Craft worm bait and suspicious eye there. Summons Eater of Worlds and Eye of Cthulu repectively. Use the worm bait on corruption or risk instant death. Use the eye at night or risk instant death. Do not use bait or eye twice in a row while the boss is still up (instant death).
