I can't say much about the wip, but what I can say is:
I think you've succeded in making it organic yet metallic, atleast when looking at the curved parts around what I guess will be the eyes.

Supposed to be knives/razor/blades? Took me a while to realize that even after i read your post on the thread at the art board. Looks really plain with only black/white colorscale...

On the next texture of yours. How about try to make it more colorful?

Some parts, in fact do look sharp. I kinda like it.
How does the top look ingame? I remember that it messes it up somtimes.

Looking forward to the finished one.

aerox21: Told you in IRC. The front is good but the back could have been done better.

iNoTo: I'm not a fan of the text on it.
I think there's a bit too much brightness on the hand.
The background doesn't really match the stock IMO.
You could potentially get some epic depth with that render.
Flow is okay, though with a better background you could get some better flow.

It's for a friend. More of a mapping exercise than anything else. I want to get back into making sets.

Strange I felt as if the background were fitting the character correctly, but then I guess I was wrong at the same time.
