Its hardly that bad, though yes it does take a while.
and on the other hand, nothing exciting happens when you hit 30

it isnt that hard to play till level 30...
its like black belt in toribash...
im level 30 and i have about 1000 wins ...

Also Black Belt in Toribash - took quite a time also

no matter waht you say - its too long - when u reach ranked - youve stoped palying 3 times and bored of the whole game so

only way i will get addicted again is to add a new map cause 5x5 is a Dota style map that i as a dota player have played alot and 3v3 in the last week i have played the living S**t out of so
