So yeah, what's your favourite 'character type', so to speak? These being things such as Tsundere, Yandere, Yangire, Nekimimi etc.

I quite like Yanderes. They're the interesting ones, and mental instability is rarely a bad thing. Yuno Gasai ftw.

Dandere - Similar to moe/kawaiiko, but different enough to be interesting.
Yandere - Self explanatory; They're awesome. (http://www.cavestory.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2831 if you want to research things about Yanderes)
Cat Girl - Can it get cuter than this? (Azu-nyan's cat-girl meow is an example)
Small Girl Big Gun - Rawr?
Genki Girl - Do I really need to explain?
Miko - Kawaii!
Tsundere - I actually hate this type of character a bit (with a passion, though) thanks to Zero no Tsukaima. It's still a nice archetype.
Childhood friend - Sometimes makes a great plot development. Sometimes.
Nekomimi - Same reason as Cat Girl, except the general concept of ears - Even Horo from Spice and Wolf may fall into this category. Why? I don't know.
Love Freaks - They're unpredictable and awesome.

Whatever Yui from K-On! is, and whatever Shiina from Angel Beats! is.

I don't have male standard so I'll just say that the type of males I hate are arrogants who think about himself (except Keima, I like him ) although through some character developments they tend to get better.

I like tsundere's tsun tsun type but I don't like dere dere type, a dojikko are quite attractive too. Moe characters are intresting but I'm not really into it, I always wonder why everyone around me irl seems to like moe girls, especially if they are the combination of kuudere and moe.
Yandere is cool, but no yangire, they creep me out sometimes....

but I like the badass girls in general (ie Yoko [Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann], Birdy [Birdy the Mighty], pretty much all Claymores [Claymore])
