Minecraft Auto-updates so there's no reason I wouldn't be updated, and /home isn't part of Minecraft, it's an addon from a mod.
Precisely. the server has a few mods, such as Hey0's, the Hmod and maybe some others, idk.
with every new update they have to make sure their mods are compatible with the current version of minecraft, or they just downright simply wont work.
