Dark Souls II is the latest Action Role Playing Game created by the famed niche Japanese development team FromSoftware, creators of such franchises as Armored Core, Tenchu, Otogi and Chromehounds. Dark Souls is published by FromSoftware in Japan and Namco Bandai in the rest of the world.
The sequel to Dark Souls also created by FromSoftware, Dark Souls II brings even more hardcore RPG action to the PlayStation 3, XBox 360 and PC!
I think this is the best game ever made, no joke. I've played through the first game several times and was amazingly stoked for the sequel. You don't have to play Dark Souls to get into the sequel, but it's much more fun, and easier. I love medieval/fantasy shit, and this gives me a hard-on.
What's great about it? It's original, it's challenging, it's boss-based (the only places were there's music is at boss fights), there a plethora of armours, rings, weapons, spells and mobs! And for those who's played the original game and wonder if it's easier? In my opinion, they've made it more challenging and... Less annoying?
Differences as I've noticed:
It follows the same recipe as the first, but there are changes.
* New and improved animations, better mechanics * You can travel, teleport from the beginning of the game * Lots of new enchantments/stones * More thinking and planning might be required * Curse doesn't instantly cut your health by 50% and doesn't insta-kill. (However petrification does) * You don't start with the Estus flasks (potions for restoration), but they're there. You have life gems in stead, though a limited amount and less effective. * More locations, lots more. * New weapons, some may be recognizable, I won't spoil ;) * Some NPC's are revivable, don't know if all are.. * It's easier to locate yourself, there's no... "Where do I go now??".
Let me know if you know something which ain't on the list!

invading everyone who enters the building.
SL 63 atm.
Making a strength build.
I got this yesterday for the PC. I am absolutely loving this so far. Started with a swordsman because of that sweet flowing cape thing. Also, how do I perform a plunging attack? Did they change the controls for that?
I think it's the same way hero, I play on pc and I'm kinda dissapointed in how they increased the difficulty. It's just more enemy's and the 5% every death. Also looking at the enemy and boss list there seems to be a lot of humanoid enemy's. Anyone have thoughts on this?
I got the plunging attack working. It had something to do with the mouse lag problem, just had to time it right. As for difficulty, I am disappointed as well. Couple the difficulty with mouse lag problems, I'm not having an exactly good experience so far. But other than that, the new features are very interesting such as dual wielding.

If you want the full experience I would recommend getting a controller. For the first time ever I got mad enough to throw my controller. And it's because of the stupid amount of enemys. A great example is the 4-5 Hallows with ballistas at the castle. Now at no man's warf there are 20 people in a smallish area. The only time I remember dark souls doing this is in the demon ruins with the carpa and Taurus demons.
