A thread for posts
Hi, making a thread like everyone else has.
I'm thinking about using it for a couple of things, at the moment I guess I'll expand on what I'm a legend for (still feels weird, I was thirsty for it ngl, suppose that's kinda the point), for the newer members, and use it as an off topic thread where you can ask me things if you feel like it, and suggest uses for the thread.
So I'm a legend I guess because I'm involved, or was involved, in quite a few areas of the game, staff-wise and ingame wise.
I became a GameMaster (the prequel to Event Squad) in February 2011, just after the staff group was created. I failed my first trial test, but passed the second one pretty much because I talked smack on DrBear. Tests were weird back then.
Eventually I became GM lead, and served in that role for a few years, on and off. Towards the end of my stint I reformed the GameMasters into the Event Squad, so that the team could focus on events rather than moderation.
I also merged the Item Forgers into the team and created the artist and mod maker teams, along side people like the Hydra. A few other internal changes I'm sure other people could explain better - given that a) I have a poor memory and b) it affected the team moreso than me.
I guess I just served as GM/ES lead for a long time, relatively, as it's a position with a high burnout rate.
Eventually I also burned out, and was inactive for a long time because of some health issues. Came back a couple of months ago.
I've also been a few other staff positions, clan mod, back when they were a thing. Only thing I've never really touched is the market.
I was an ORMO recruiter way back when, around the time I got into Urban I think. I was never known for single player or anything, I don't think. Along with Orko and Pusga, we instigated the bounty records and I wanted to strengthen staff connections to ORMO, because they're an unparalleled knowledge and skill base.
I guess I was good at taekkyon once upon a time. Founded the Order of Taekkyon with Rfifan. There was a really wicked period where tk popularity spiked shortly after we became an official organisation. But soon I had too much on my plate and I couldn't keep it up, so other people took the reigns. Had a default tk replay for a while.
I also made ErthTk and ErthTkv2. It was originally created as a gateway mod to taekkyon, with the goal of introducing newer players to some basics of taekkyon. After a while people started playing it more, instead of transitioning to standard tk, and realised it was more competitively viable than taekkyon. At which point I stopped playing it because the meta became gross lmao.
So yeah. Hi.
