[19:47] <+Zip0> So I see that you have a very high status in the Wibble fourms.

[19:47] <@Hamster> Yes, I'm something of a father figure to that forum

[19:47] <@Hamster> "Wibbles" is named after one of my nonsense IRC words I used to use

[19:47] <+Zip0> This makes you a very high respected person.

[19:47] <+Zip0> What was your inspiration to make wibbles?

[19:48] <@Hamster> I actually did not create the wibbles board, the board was made by veb

[19:48] <@Hamster> However, I was drawn to it because of its chaotic atmosphere

[19:49] <+Zip0> Sorry, I was mistaken. What makes you special compared to the other popular toribashers?

[19:49] <@Hamster> I was the first player to reach the 10th dan black belt

[19:49] <@Hamster> My 10,000th game was played against hampa

[19:49] <@Hamster> And as a reward for winning, I got to ask for any color I wanted

[19:50] <+Zip0> And you choose?

[19:50] <@Hamster> At first I wanted something totally black

[19:50] <@Hamster> But that wasn't possible with shaders at the time

[19:50] <@Hamster> So instead I went with something totally white, and named it Pure

[19:50] <+Zip0> So you're also the creator of Pure. Wow.

[19:51] <@Hamster> I requested the color, yes

[19:51] <@Hamster> hampa was still the one to code it into the game

[19:51] <+Zip0> What version did you start playing in?

[19:51] <@Hamster> That's a good question.

[19:51] <@Hamster> I can't remember exactly

[19:51] <@Hamster> I know I was playing at 2.3

[19:51] <@Hamster> But I may have downloaded versions previous to that one

[19:52] <+Zip0> I see, Thats a very long time. Did you ever think of quitting?

[19:52] <@Hamster> Yes, I have taken a few breaks

[19:53] <@Hamster> And I think at one point I said I was going to leave

[19:53] <@Hamster> But there's a rule of the internet that states if you tell people you are leaving a community, you will always come back at some point

[19:53] <+Zip0> Yes, I've heard that many times.

[19:53] <@Hamster> After I got 10th dan, I stayed because of the community

[19:53] <+Zip0> What do you think of Hampa?

[19:54] <@Hamster> hampa is an amazing coder

[19:54] <@Hamster> He's a software engineer living out his dream of making his own game

[19:54] <@Hamster> And I'm really happy for how far he's brought it through the years

[19:54] <@Hamster> I have not met him in person yet, sadly

[19:54] <@Hamster> But he seems like a really great guy.

[19:55] <+Zip0> I saw pictures of him. He's quiet a "looker". Do you have any idea which way The game toribash will go next?

[19:55] <@Hamster> Well, the Wii release of Toribash will certainly change things.

[19:56] <@Hamster> Even if it's not a smash success, I'm positive it will at least attract a cult following on the console.

19:56] <@Hamster> From the PC game side, we can hopefully see some new players coming to Toribash after they've played the Wii version.
