What I meant was that the syllables in each line don't always match up, which makes it sound amateurish when spoken aloud. There's probably a term for that that relates to poetry or summat, but I cba to look it up.
You know, rap doesn't always follow the rules of standard poetry. (Poetry doesn't follow the rules of poetry.) Anything can sound good if you modify the speed of it.
So let's say "-" is one syllable length, and "---" is twice that length. The following is the rhyme:
Your sister is fat like a pig
Is your entire family that big
Your-sis-ter---is-fat-like---a-pig
Is-your-en-tire-fa-mi-ly-that-big
Dunno if you understand what I'm getting at, buteeh, I tried. It's hard when you can't use guitar tabs as examples.
