Hmm. Have you tried fooling around with the discs and looking for an "install to memory card" link? Besides, I've heard you can use a USB drive or an iPod shuffle or whatever to boot the software, although I'm not 100% sure it works.

Unless you have an adapter, you can't even plug an USB cable to a PS2.
Drakhir, the PS2 has its own USB ports for the EyeToy or other perephirals like steering wheels. Some software (Gran Turismo 4, etc) uses that port for USB drives. I don't know if Swap Magic supports it but I've heard that it does. Try it out.
