Umm, I don't know how to make your dwarves do what you want them to do, so I opened it and left it running, when I got back apparently they had children and the mother killed her child? Is that supposed to happen..? I then turned the Game off and checked this forum xD It would be nice if someone could gimme like not a guide but like a step by step thing on what I should do from Embarking :S
I watched the youtube vids but they don't explain very well and I just get frustrated and go "Oh, I'll get it next time" but I never do xD

Using this link here as a guide. I got the art files and placed them in the dwarf fortress files I currently have, so I hope that works :S

Nah the new DF cannot load the old DF file, so.... I'll just use the 2009 DF to learn then upgrade when I know roughly what I'm doing
I won't give up >.<

bahh,, the new thing is to large for my monitor...
Could someone tell me how to get the old world files into my new dwarf fortress so I can do that tutorial but with the set up of the latest DF?
I looked online but couldnt find one :S
